Public holiday vehicle pick-up/drop-off incurs an additional service fee of HKD $200 per occasion

Vehicle pick-up/drop-off outside service hours incurs an additional fee of HKD $100 per hour

Late pick-up/return will incur additional charges. Please be punctual. (HKD $75 per 15 minutes or part thereof, as per contract)

Required Documents for Car Rental

The following original documents must be presented upon vehicle collection:

1) Hong Kong Identity Card

2) Valid driving licence

3) Proof of address within the past 3 months (PDF accepted)

* No serious traffic offences such as dangerous driving within the past 3 years

Traffic Violation Deposit

• A traffic violation deposit of HKD $3,000 will be retained upon vehicle return

• The deposit will be refunded 60 government working days after return if no fines or tickets are received

• Alternatively, the deposit may be kept in your Auto Leading account for future bookings

• It can also be used as upgraded cash value

• HKD $3,000 traffic violation deposit = HKD $3,600 booking credit

* Handling fee of HKD $50 per ticket paid on behalf

* If the vehicle is impounded due to any violation during the rental period, the renter is responsible for all related costs plus an additional handling and towing fee of HKD $1,500 per incident.

Payment Notice

Accepted payment methods: FPS / Bank Transfer / Cash Deposit / Alipay / PayPal / Visa / Mastercard

* Credit card payments are only accepted for rentals of 5 days or more (refunds take longer and may incur fees)

Security Deposit Requirements

* 100% refundable upon satisfactory inspection confirmed by AUTO LEADING (after retaining traffic violation deposit)

Some P-plate vehicle models require an additional 50% deposit

Deposit requirement: HKD $5,000 – HKD $200,000 (depending on vehicle model)

Premium members may use their own private vehicle as collateral for the deposit

Rental Process

1. Reserve a Vehicle
Enquire about available dates, duration, and model. Upon confirmation, transfer 10% or more of the rental as a deposit.

2. Vehicle Collection
Inspect, photograph, and document the vehicle. Present your HKID, driving licence, and proof of address.

3. Payment
Sign the agreement and submit the security deposit and outstanding rental (FPS / bank transfer / cash; credit card must be requested in advance). You may depart immediately upon completion.

4. Vehicle Return
Return the vehicle safely and intact. After staff inspection and settlement of any charges (e.g. tunnel tolls), the deposit will be refunded within 3–14 days via bank transfer.

Pet Travel Permit

1. Advance Notice & Permit Fee
Please notify us in advance and purchase a pet travel permit at HKD $150 per rental period. Bringing a pet without written approval may result in service refusal or additional charges.

2. Pet Care Responsibility
Renters must ensure pets remain clean in the vehicle. Any damage or cleaning issues caused by pets are the renter's responsibility.

3. Pet Restrictions
Only certain types/sizes of pets are permitted (e.g. small dogs, cats). Pets must not be left alone in the vehicle and must not cause harm or noise disturbance.

4. Additional Fees
A cleaning or security fee will be charged for pets. Deep cleaning fees start from HKD $800 per session for stubborn stains or odours.

5. Insurance Liability
The renter bears full responsibility for any damage or accidents caused by pets. Auto Leading accepts no liability.

6. Auto Leading reserves the right of final decision.

Vehicle Usage Rules

• No pets allowed (unless a pet travel permit has been purchased)

• No smoking inside the vehicle

• Smoking with a lit cigarette outside the window is considered smoking inside the vehicle

• A cleaning fee of HKD $1,500 will be charged if detected

• Keep the vehicle interior clean at all times

• Return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at collection

• Drive safely and responsibly

• Driving under the influence of fatigue, alcohol, or drugs is strictly prohibited

Accident Handling Procedure

In the event of a traffic accident, please remain calm and follow these steps:

• Call the police immediately and notify our staff. Do not accept any settlement without staff consent.

• Record the incident details: location, date, time, and all parties involved, including names, phone numbers, vehicle registration plates, and vehicle owner contacts.

• Photograph all vehicle damage and the accident scene.

• If other property is damaged (e.g. barriers, road signs), photograph those too.

• Obtain the police report reference number and officer's contact details.

• Submit all accident-related documents to the rental company and cooperate fully with the claims process. Any failure to do so resulting in insurance invalidation or additional costs will be borne entirely by the renter.

• If the renter wishes to continue renting after an accident, a new contract must be signed. The remaining period of the original contract will not be transferred.

Traffic Violation Deposit Refund (TVD)

60 government working days after the end of the lease term, if there are no outstanding traffic violation fines, the lessee may request a deposit refund. The deposit will be returned to the bank account provided within 7 days from the date of application, subject to accurate information.
